The Guideline Saline Fly Reel represents the pinnacle of Guideline's saltwater reel development. The result of four years of research, engineering and real-world testing, it has been designed to handle the fastest and most powerful fish in fly fishing.
Its fully CNC-machined construction, reinforced architecture and titanium-carbon drag system provide an exceptional power-to-weight ratio while maintaining precise, consistent performance during prolonged fights.
H-Ti+ TITANIUM-CARBON DRAG
The Saline features an advanced high-performance drag system combining precision-machined titanium discs with carbon friction plates.
Two versions are used depending on reel size:
H-Ti5+ — 5-disc system delivering up to 10 kg of drag on the #910
H-Ti7+ — 7-disc system delivering up to 14 kg of drag on the #1112 and #12+
The system also features 12 stainless steel compression springs and a 720° adjustment range for precise drag control.
REINFORCED CONSTRUCTION AND LARGE ARBOR
The reel features a triple-stabilised central core and a lateral crossbar rear frame designed to minimise flex and distortion under extreme pressure.
Its Large Arbor design provides fast line retrieval and improved control during powerful, high-speed runs.
Optimised diameters and weights also provide excellent balance with heavy saltwater fly rods.
SALTWATER PROTECTION
Dynamic Dunk Seals protect the internal drag components against saltwater intrusion, including during prolonged immersion.
An oversized drag knob allows easy adjustments, even with wet or gloved hands.
The ergonomic Delrin handle provides a comfortable grip while reducing heat transfer in tropical conditions.

#12+ — Designed for extreme offshore fly fishing, including marlin, tuna, sharks and the largest marine species.
