The Power Strike Pro Tapered Nylon Leader Dry & Stealth Trout 12 ft is the most versatile trout leader in the Guideline range. Supplied as a 2-pack, it comes in a UV-proof zip-closure pouch for safe and convenient storage. Each leader is pre-looped and features a subtle brown tint for low visibility in the water.
Designed using years of on-water experience, longer leaders provide a clear advantage when targeting spooky fish or when enhanced control is required. The Dry & Stealth leader is specifically designed to be extended, allowing anglers to add tippet sections tailored to the conditions. The tip section is only 50 cm, making it easy to customize and build a longer, more refined leader.
Dry & Stealth leaders will effortlessly turn over tippets up to 2 meters, maintaining excellent control and presentation. Adding a 2 mm tippet ring is highly recommended, allowing anglers to build purpose-designed tippet lengths with maximum flexibility.

Taper – 42% (150 cm / 4.9 ft)
Tip – 14% (50 cm / 1.6 ft)
The 0.57 mm butt diameter ensures positive and reliable turnover. This stronger butt performs exceptionally well in breezy conditions or when straight, direct turnover is required. Typical scenarios include stillwater fishing with dry flies or nymphs, as well as river fishing with heavy nymphs or large, air-resistant dry flies.
Compared to the original Power Strike Trout 12 ft, this version features a more refined taper section, delivering improved performance and versatility.
Example leader extensions
For a total leader length of 18–20+ ft
Add 50 cm of 4X
Then add 5X tippet of 100–200 cm
For finer 6X presentations
Add 50 cm of 4X
Add 50 cm of 5X
Then add 6X tippet of 100–200 cm
Tippet length can be adjusted depending on conditions, with 150 cm being a good standard and up to 200 cm recommended in complex currents for improved slack and drag-free drifts.
