The Fly Scene Natural Partridge Feathers are a classic fly-tying material. Their fine, soft and naturally mobile fibers are highly valued for adding movement and realism to artificial flies.
They are particularly suited to creating collars on wet flies, nymphs and emergers, as well as a wide variety of soft hackle patterns. Once submerged, the fibers move naturally with the current, giving the fly a highly lifelike appearance.
Partridge is also an excellent material for creating nymph legs, providing plenty of movement without adding excessive bulk to the pattern.
Easy to work with at the tying bench, the feathers can be wrapped around the hook to create a complete soft collar or individual fibers can be selected for more precise applications.
Available in natural grey and natural brown, they cover a wide range of insect imitations while retaining the characteristic natural appearance of partridge.
