As with the new Cross SX Series, saltwater anglers requested slightly faster actioned fly rods for certain flats and bluewater conditions. LOOP listened to invaluable feedback from some of the world’s best saltwater anglers and guides to develop a uniform series of medium fast and fast action CROSS SW fly rods. LOOP’s designers and development team refined this powerful rod action to meet the full spectrum of saltwater species and conditions from around the globe.Finished in a deep aesthetic blue, the new SW rods are designed and engineered with LOOP’s signature Cross Core Technology System. This combination of nano resin and high tensile carbon provides consistent, exceptional performance from every single rod in the range. Each model features corrosion-free titanium stripper and snake guides as well as our robust CROSS reel seat and superior quality cork handle. With twelve rods in the line-up, we are very confident that the Cross SW Series now has every saltwater permutation covered.

From the calmest conditions requiring a stealthy medium fast tempo delivery to punching out large flies in a challenging breeze with the new fast action models, the SW Series offers a distinct fast action fly rod to maximise your saltwater coverage.
MEDIUM FAST SW SERIES are designed with Loop’s default midcurve, mid-fast blank action. Ideal for an accelerated tempo during the casting stroke, the Medium Fast range will retain impressive amounts of power reserve when gnarly onshore winds require more forceful power application to present your fly. With a super smooth energy transfer, each model in the series will excel in the pursuit of a range of saltwater species.
Fast SW Series:
The Fast actioned SW rods are designed with a more tip inclined action than the Medium Fast blanks and benefit from stiffer flex characteristic throughout the various models. This rod action produces super tight loops with ease, allowing saltwater anglers effective water coverage in the most extreme environmental conditions. As well as superior casting characteristics, the Fast SW’s flex pattern will subdue the strongest of fighting fish.
